Email support@mwds.digital. A person reads it. Tell us what you were doing, what you expected and what happened instead — and whether cloud sync was on, because a good half of anything surprising starts there.
Opening ClipDeck
- Press Ctrl + Shift + V anywhere in Windows to bring up your clipboard history.
- Start typing to search, or press Ctrl + F to jump to the search box.
- Use the filters — text, link, code, image, colour, file — to narrow the history to one kind of clip.
- Enter pastes the selected clip, Shift + Enter pastes it as plain text, and Ctrl with a number from 1 to 9 pastes one of the first nine directly.
Pinning, and pinboards
- Star a clip to keep it at the front. Pinned clips are not removed by the automatic cleanup.
- Drag the handle on a clip to reorder it.
- Create a pinboard from the + Pinboard tab, give it a name and a colour, and file the clips you reuse into it.
Cloud sync through your OneDrive
ClipDeck can sync through a folder in your own OneDrive. There is no ClipDeck server holding your clipboard — the folder is yours, and you can open it from Settings.
- Turn it on in Settings → Cloud sync, and choose the folder if you want it somewhere other than the default.
- Text, links, code, colours, favourites and pinboards sync. Images and copied file paths stay on the PC and are never written to the folder.
- Sync now forces a pass; Open folder shows you exactly what is in it.
- Remove cloud data clears what ClipDeck has put in the folder, leaving the local history alone.
- If two PCs disagree, check both are pointed at the same folder and that OneDrive itself has finished syncing it.
How long clips are kept
- Settings → History → Keep clips for sets the retention window, from one day to forever.
- Favourites are kept until you delete them, whatever that window says.
- Clear all clips empties the local history. If cloud sync is on, it also removes the synced text clips from your cloud folder.
Making it look right
- App theme follows Windows by default, or you can fix it to light or dark.
- Transparency turns the Windows 11 acrylic background on and off.
- Paste after selection decides whether choosing a clip pastes it into the app you came from, or just copies it.
Buying and refunds
ClipDeck is a one-time purchase through the Microsoft Store — there is no subscription and no in-app purchase. Billing, receipts and refunds are handled by Microsoft rather than by us; refunds are requested from your Microsoft account order history. If something is wrong with the app itself, write to us first and we will try to fix it.
