ClipStack privacy policy

Before you read this

ClipStack is still in development and has not been released. This policy is published ahead of the App Store listing so the link is live at launch, and it describes how the app behaves in the version we intend to ship. If anything changes before release, this page changes with it and the date above updates.

Who this covers

ClipStack for Mac, iPhone and iPad, including its keyboard, share and widget extensions, published by Mishus Workshop Private Limited, trading as MW Digital Solutions, registered in India under CIN U72900TN2021PTC144508.

What we collect

Nothing. ClipStack has no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no third-party SDKs of any kind. It makes no network requests to any server we operate — there is no such server. The app's privacy manifests declare no data collected and no tracking, and that is a statement Apple holds us to.

What the app stores, and where

• Your clipboard history — the text, links, images, files and colours you copy, along with the name of the app each came from. On a Mac this lives in your Application Support folder; on iPhone and iPad it lives in the app's own storage, shared with the ClipStack keyboard, share and widget extensions so they can show you the same list.
• Your settings — history limit, ignored apps, and whether sync is on.
• Your Apple identity, if you sign in — the user identifier Apple issues and the display name you allowed. Both are stored on your device only. They are not sent to us and there is no account of yours on any system of ours.

iCloud sync

Sync is optional. With it on, your history is mirrored to the private CloudKit database of your own Apple Account so your devices agree with each other. A private database is exactly that: Apple gates it to you, and we cannot read it, list it or recover it. We hold no key and have no administrative route to your data.

File clips are never synced, because a file clip is a path on one machine and means nothing on another. With sync off, nothing leaves your device.

What ClipStack refuses to record

• Content marked concealed — which is what password managers put on the clipboard — is skipped. It is not stored, not shown and not synced.
• Content marked transient or automatic by the app that produced it is ignored the same way.
• After you paste sensitive content, ClipStack clears the system clipboard behind you, so a password does not sit there waiting for the next app that looks.
• Any app you add to the ignore list is excluded — nothing copied while it is frontmost is captured.

Payments

ClipStack Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple takes the payment and tells the app whether a purchase is active. We never see your card, your billing address or your Apple Account details. Apple's own privacy policy governs that transaction.

Children

ClipStack is a general productivity tool, is not directed at children, and collects no personal data from anyone, including children.

Deleting your data

• Clear your history in the app to remove it from the device, and from your iCloud database if sync is on.
• Sign out of Sign in with Apple to remove the stored identifier and display name. You can also revoke ClipStack entirely under Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple.
• Delete the app to remove its local storage. To clear the iCloud copy as well, clear your history before deleting, or remove ClipStack's data from iCloud in your system settings.

Because none of this data ever reaches us, there is no request you need to send us to have it erased — and no request we could usefully act on, since we hold nothing to erase.

Your rights

Privacy law gives you rights to access, correct, export and erase personal data a company holds about you. We hold none from ClipStack, so those rights have nothing to attach to here. If you believe we hold something regardless, write to support@mwds.digital and we will answer within 30 days.

Changes

If ClipStack ever starts collecting something — it does not today, and we have no plan for it to — this page will say so before that version ships, and the date at the top will change.
