Just Sudoku! — Privacy Policy

The short version

The game uses Sign in with Apple, so there is an account, and your progress is stored so it can follow you between devices. Beyond that, what leaves the app leaves through the advertising in it — and this page is mostly about that, because pretending otherwise would not be true.

Signing in

Sign in with Apple is the only way in. Apple tells us an identifier for you, and your name and email address unless you choose Hide My Email — in which case we only ever see a relay address that forwards to you. We do not ask for a password, and we could not see your Apple ID password if we wanted to.

What is stored against your account

• Saved games, and the difficulty and mode you were playing.
• Statistics, streaks, XP, levels and achievements.
• Whether you have bought Remove Ads.

This is what makes your progress appear on a second device. Leaderboards are handled by Apple's Game Center, under Apple's own terms rather than ours.

Advertising

The free version shows banner and interstitial ads, served by a third-party advertising network. To do that, the advertising software in the app collects:

• Identifiers, including your device's advertising identifier.
• Coarse location — the general area, not a precise position, used to choose which ads to show.
• Usage and advertising data — which ads were shown, and interaction with them.

Some of this is used to track you across other companies' apps and websites for advertising. iOS asks your permission before that can happen, and you can change your answer at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Declining does not limit the game in any way — you will still see ads, but they will be less targeted.

Buying Remove Ads stops the ads, and with them the advertising data collection described above.

Diagnostics

Crash and performance data may be collected to help find faults. It is not linked to your identity.

Purchases

Remove Ads is bought through Apple. Apple handles the payment and tells the app whether you have purchased — we never see your card details, and we do not receive your Apple ID.

Children

The game is rated 4+ and has no chat, no user accounts and no user-generated content. It is not directed at children specifically, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Deleting your account

Email support@mwds.digital and we will delete your account and everything stored against it — saved games, statistics, achievements and your purchase record.

Turning off Sign in with Apple in your Apple ID settings stops the app using your Apple ID. It does not, on its own, delete what we hold — so if deletion is what you want, send us the request too.

Your choices

• Use Apple's Hide My Email so we never see your real address.
• Turn off ad tracking in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
• Reset your advertising identifier in the same place.
• Buy Remove Ads to stop advertising entirely.
• Ask us to delete your account, as above.
