Getting started
The game uses Sign in with Apple, and nothing else. There is no password to create and no form to fill in — you sign in with the Apple ID already on your device, and you can use Apple's Hide My Email if you would rather we never see your address.
Signing in is what lets your progress follow you between devices, keeps your Remove Ads purchase attached to you, and puts you on the leaderboards.
Game modes
- Normal — classic Sudoku across easy, medium, hard and expert.
- Zen — no timer, no pressure.
- Speed — for when the clock is the point.
- X-Sudoku — the two diagonals must also contain 1–9.
- Killer — cages with target sums, no repeats within a cage.
- Daily and Weekly Challenges — one puzzle at a time, with your completion history kept.
Notes, hints and mistakes
Pencil marks can fill themselves in and clear themselves as you place numbers, if you would rather they did. Conflict highlighting and mistake tracking are optional — turn them off in Settings for a stricter game. Hints range from a nudge to strategy-style guidance, depending on the type you pick.
Removing ads
Remove Ads is a one-off purchase. If you have paid and the ads come back — after reinstalling, or on a new device — open Settings and choose Restore Purchases. Restoring uses the Apple ID that made the purchase, so make sure you are signed in with the same one.
Refunds are handled by Apple rather than by us, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
If your progress disappears
Progress is tied to the Apple ID you signed in with, so the first thing to check is that you are signed in with the same one. Reinstalling the app or moving to a new device should bring your streaks, stats and saved games back once you sign in.
If it does not, email us before playing much further — restoring is easier when we are not trying to merge two sets of progress.
Deleting your account
Email support@mwds.digital from the Apple ID address on the account, or through Hide My Email if that is what you used, and we will delete the account and everything stored against it.
Turning off Sign in with Apple in your Apple ID settings stops the app using your Apple ID, but it does not by itself delete what we hold — so send us the request as well if deletion is what you want.
Notifications
Daily Challenge reminders are off unless you switch them on, and can be turned off again in Settings or in the iOS Settings app under Just Sudoku!.
